A shoot of a young dancer to whom we added LED lights on strategic locations on his body to show the motion of his dance using light!
Sachin Damian started dancing ever since his feet could support him. In The year 2000 while he was ten years old, he started to learn dancing at the John Britto’s academy of dance.
He also learnt an ancient martial arts form known as kalaripayattu. While Dancing gave him a sense of fun, Kalaripayattu gave him discipline.

There are a few people who inspired Sachin to constantly keep improving his dancing. They are, the legendary Michael Jackson, Prabhu Deva, Hrithik Roshan and his master John Britto.
With his parents supporting him and motivating him constantly, Sachin had everything any passionate dancer would ever want.
Ghost of Dance
The following are some of his achievements,
- Secured first place in over 20 competitions including TV dance solo competitions.
- Represented India on the 2007 international young performers tour in the United States of America.
- Crowned Mr Chennai Times during the Nation wide talent hunt hosted by the Times of India on march 7th 2009
- Has been awarded with the midtown’s young achievers recognition award for music and dance by the Rotary club of madras.
- Performed various Kalaripayattu demo’s at Dakshin chitra and Alliance Francais of Madras.
- Performed over 300 stage shows all over South India. [ Cartoon network, Jetix, Vijay awards, Kalaignar music awards, Asianet awards, Surya TV’s manorama awards, Kamal hassan’s 50th birthday night, Jodi no 1, Michael Jackson memorial and other corporate launches ]
In this shoot, we wanted to try and trace some of his dance moves using LED lights and long exposure shots. We were quite happy with what we captured!
